A Gift Idea For Yourself: Not Your Average Gift

Gift-giving is one of the most generous actions that people do. All of us do it at one time or another. When we give a gift that someone wants or needs, it touches our hearts when we see how grateful they are from our generosity.

Sometimes we give all the time, and we don’t take the time to be generous to ourselves. I know that treating ourselves may seem selfish at times, but if we do it from time to time, it enhances the quality of our lives.

Now that Christmas has passed and we are now in a new decade, you may want to consider a gift idea for yourself that may not be your average gift.

This not so average gift may be a gift that keeps on giving depending on how you see this not so ordinary gift.

I’m Not Referring To Those Special Treats We Give Ourselves

I’m not referring to treating yourself to a delicious piece of cake or a new pair of shoes that you’ve always wanted.

We all have to eat and dress, and we may even purchase more quality products because we see it as an investment.

As for that delicious dessert, hey, we may all treat ourselves from time to time or more often than need be.

However, what I’m referring to about special treats is that it does satisfy a craving for a moment, but it isn’t a long-lasting satisfaction.

The Way People May Look At This Not So Average Gift

Many people may look at this gift as a way it may benefit themselves and their own life. Now, I’m not saying that is a bad idea. I’m all for people doing things they love, enjoy, and are beneficial to their lives.

There is nothing wrong with doing something that benefits a person’s personal life. People do it all the time, and by doing that, they accomplish many inspiring incidents that help other people grow and may change their life.

These people probably never even thought about it that way when they started their venture, but because they made accomplishments and shared their story, it’s a priceless inspiring act that may change and spread to others.

Let’s Look At Eddie Murphy as an Example

Eddie Murphy’s laugh alone can put a smile on your face. He’s a comedian, actor, and singer. If you don’t know that song, “Party All The Time”, you may not know much about Eddie Murphy.

Someone who started his career by making us laugh took a chance and made an album. When people venture into a place that isn’t their comfort zone, it’s risky.

The Album How Could It Be, hit number 26 on the Billboard 200, and the song Party All the Time hit number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.

His acting career is impressive, and he is still making movies. I’ve watched almost all of his films, but there is one movie that the critics didn’t like that I completely disagree with.

The movie is called “Mr. Church.” I didn’t know about this movie until I was shifting through Netflix. I saw Eddie Murphy’s image, and I said, “I’m watching this.”

After watching the film, It turns out that I love the movie, and it is now what I call one of my favorite movies. If you haven’t seen it, I suggest you watch it.

The movie is a touching and inspiring movie about an unconventional family.

I wanted to know if it was just me or did other people like Mr. Church, and it turns out that there were people out there that agreed with me and didn’t understand why critics were so harsh.

Dolemite Is My Name, the most recent movie he did. I loved that movie too and it is another inspiring story. I’m quoting Netflix in regards to what Dolemite Is My Name is about.

You know his name. You’re about to know his game. The true story of a never-was who became the baddest mother there ever was.

~ Netflix

What was great about Eddie was when he came back to SNL and did some of his skits. It was so fun to watch, and when he did Buckwheat, I kid you not, I laughed for about 30 minutes straight. I never laughed so hard in a long time.

There are people out there who are taking chances and are inspired to take the same path as Eddie. For me, Eddie has made me laugh, especially in times when laughter is needed.

Even though I may not want to take the same path as Eddie, he inspires me because he does things that are not always where a comedian is supposed to remain.

The box is open, and Eddie doesn’t remain in it. He will do a serious film, sing, but most importantly, he goes back to his roots and makes us laugh.

From me using Eddie Murphy as an example, he may have started his venture not thinking about the lives he touches, but by sharing his talents, Eddie Murphy spreads inspiring incidents through what he loves and enjoys doing.

So What I’m Getting At Here About This Gift Giving

There is more to life than those special treats that we give ourselves from time to time. Gifting yourself to do things you love and enjoy can be an inspiring gift that gets shared between all of us.

Your unique talent or knowledge by sharing your gifts is also a way of giving back. Just like Eddie Murphy, his gift of making us laugh spreads joy.

Even movie critics may share their opinion whether we agree with it or not, their thoughts and ideas get valued, especially when there are people out there who agree with most of their nays and yeas.

If movie watching is one of your favorite things to do, why not become a movie critic and state your reasons why you like or dislike a film.

As your doing something you enjoy, you will be surprised by how many people would come back and read your star value opinions about movies you saw.

When I started my venture in the affiliate marketing industry, I didn’t know what to expect. I wanted to do something that gifted me along with helping others.

When I started, I only thought about the benefit that I’d gain. As I was going through lessons and learning about the possibilities, I had no idea how I can reach other people and help them.

Like I just stated, I didn’t know what to expect, but with commitment, I started to gain readers. I’ve made my share of mistakes, but I learned from them. There was a time when no one would come to my site, but as I kept doing what I was doing, and the results started to show.

It was exciting to know that there are people out there that found my content valuable, and I wanted the same for others too because I felt if I can do this, there certainly many others out there that can.

What Is This Gift Idea For Me?

I started my website about five years ago. I wanted to make money from home. What I learned is that it is possible through Affiliate Marketing.

There are millions of niches, such as being a Movie Critic that people can do and earn income along with helping others through their valued opinion.

My niche is letting people know about valuable info out there that can help them make money from home.

There are millions of Affiliate Networks or programs out there that pay people when someone decides to join or buy products or services through them.

Even a movie critic website can make money through Google Adsense, podcast, YouTube recommending streaming services, and movie tickets are some of the ways.

It all comes down to what do you like to do and your knowledge that can help someone.

People like to go to services that they enjoy and trust, and that is what makes your knowledge and experience special.

Well, How Do I Start?

For me, it started with ten valuable lessons that lead me to build. These lessons are where I saw the possibilities.

These lessons were a gift that pointed me to a journey. I’ve learned about possibilities that lead me to what I wanted for my life, and on top of that, I could help others do the same.

These lessons are a gift and if you’re willing to accept this unconventional gift, you are going to see possibilities like I did.

Know that you’re not committed to anything. All you’re committed to do is open the wrapping paper and look inside the box. You’re going to see an endless amount of possibilities that you can do that helps yourself and others.
