Action Speaks Louder Than Words: A Leap Of Faith

Have you ever saw something that inspired you? Have you ever taken action because someone inspired you? I saw a video that inspired me and I was inspired to share the video.

I don’t want to give anything away about the video. I truly feel if you take 14:16 minutes of your time to watch the video below, it will be a benefit to you. What I will say is that I believe action does speak louder than words. The guy in the video took a leap of faith and did amazing things with his life.

What Got Me To Watch The Video

I wanted to get other things done yesterday. Then my daughter needed my help with something. I was happy to help her because she kinda doesn’t need her mommy like she used to.

After I helped my daughter, she went to my computer and pulled up a video. I’m like excuse me, missy, Lol. She told me to watch this video.

I told her I didn’t have time to watch a video. Then she told me NO watch this video it is really good. I know my daughter and I knew it must have been good if she really wanted me to watch it.

So, I rolled my eyes, Lol and said how long is this video. I looked at the video length and it was 14:16 minutes. I said to myself it’s only 14 minutes of my time so I hit the play button.

After Watching The Video I Thought! OMG How Could I Not Share This Video

There are some things you just gotta share with people. After watching the video I was touched by this person’s life.

This guy is amazing in my book.

He took action and a leap of faith by leaving a town he grew up in without having much.

I want to start by saying is that I feel we all kind of see things differently.

We are all going to get a different viewpoint or perspective from the video.

Halfway through the video, I had to stop it for a minute.

I won’t give anything away, but I just needed a minute. You may understand what I mean if you take the time to watch the video.

Then I continued watching it because I was hooked.

There is a deep message in that video that I feel that will touch people’s lives. That is why I couldn’t let it pass my blog.

I Had To Quote Craig Thornton

After watching the video Craig made statements that I thought were important.

Maybe it’s the viewpoint that I got from watching his story but I thought I’d share them.

“Passion is not enough to do what it is that you wanna to do. People think it is, it’s not. My grandma would say all the time, “Just do it, just do the thing that you have to do. If it’s a lot of work, it’s a lot of work. But there are worse things.”

~ Craig Thornton

There was another statement he said that I think we all can relate to.

“I far more admire freedom than I admire money. I think freedom is the ultimate form of wealth.”

~ Craig Thornton

There is no doubt about it that it does take work to get where you want to be in life.

The decisions made are what shape your life.

I get it that it is a lot tougher said than done, but I feel he made a spiritual statement when Craig said, freedom is the ultimate form of wealth.

I think that sometimes the world can suck you in.

If you let that happen, you get driven by material things that are really meaningless.

I get it that we need money to survive. I also believe if you put the material stuff aside and do or be what I call your own personal ministry, all that other stuff will fall into place.

All In All

I just want to thank you Craig Thornton for sharing your story and allowing people like me to share it. Craig doesn’t know how a simple 14:16 video inspired me and I’m pretty sure others out there in the world.

I feel that the biggest revenue out there is information. Information that can lead people to take action. After an action is taken, keeping the faith is what will keep you going.

Sometimes people don’t know what they want to do! I’m going to share some info that might be just what you are looking for. How about checking this info out! If it’s not for you, there are no obligations.

Did you watch the video? If you didn’t go back and watch it. I complained about watching it at first but after I watched it, I couldn’t help but blog about it.

If you did watch the video, what did you get out of the video? I would love to know how Craig Thornton inspired you, if you have a quote you’d like to share that Craig said, please feel free to let me know below, thanks!

  1. Hey Evelyn BAZ,

After reading your article, I have understood all necessary important guidelines about “Actions Speaks Louder Than Words”. Action are more revealing of one’s true character since it is easy to say things or make promises. People say things and make promises they have no intention of keeping on a daily basis. I am looking forward for more informative article from you. Thanks for written this helpful post.

  2. Very true I watched the video found it very interesting and inspirational. Have always know actions speak loader than words. That video and the article just refine that belief. I am glad to have read this article it was an honor. If only more people broke form the way of the world.

Following there passion not planning or wondering just following it. Working toward what they wanted to do. Following there dreams not wondering where the road will take them just going down the path, or forging there own. More people should take that leap of faith.

    • Hey Terry, what a wonderful response. I totally agree with you that a lot of people don’t take a leap of faith. It is scary, but they will never know what they are capable of if they limit themselves. Thanks for sharing your wonderful response, Evelyn.

  3. Thank you for sharing your post about Craig Thornton. I’ll be honest for the first half when he was touring his old city I wasn’t sure what was so special about him or the video. It wasn’t until he started making food that it came together and he started talking about how his food was his way to escape. I like his “we’re just going to do this attitude.” That was my favorite quote from him. But I was wondering what touched you about the video. I think if you had not recommended it I wouldn’t have watched it till the end. But I think something touched you about it right from the beginning. Thanks for sharing the video!

    • My daughter was the one that knew that I was going to like the video. I feel in the very beginning it was very artsy. My daughter is in art student so I can tell it was one of her art school assignments, Lol.

I kept watching it because of my curiosity. When I kept watching the video I was touched. I was touched because he had faith and he knew what he wanted to do. Craig just road his bike and did it! Not only that, he thinks outside of the box with his food and his entrepreneur spirit!

I’m glad that you didn’t stop watching it Stephen, I also shared this video because he proves what hard work and trusting in your ideas can do for you.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and honesty, Evelyn.

  4. What a message. We are so quick to lay the blame at the feet of someone else or something else when we actually have the power to change our circumstances. It just goes to show that we need to take responsibility for our own lives. Leave the past in the past and move on and create our own reality.

    A true lesson in life!

  5. Thanks for sharing this article. You really wanted others to be inspired like you do after watching the video. That shows how good a human being you are. Of course we have different perspective to life and we see or give meaning to things differently. I haven’t watch the video because I don’t have enough data to watch but I have bookmarked this to watch it later today after doing another subscription. Thanks for inspiring people.

  6. Yes it is true that action speaks louder than voice. You don’t need to stay idle and wait for manners from above to fall down. Action must be taken in order to move from step one to step two. Following the action taken, hard work is employed alongside and by doing so, we found out that success is inevitable.

  7. wow, what a great article. passion is money, we must also be a problem solving person, by doing this money will always flow in our direction. putting God’s first makes every other things to follow. materials things don’t last longer like knowledge. Your passion can leads to freedom and self independent. Work on yourself and have a strong mind in achieving success. Thanks

Faith is really key in everything we want to get involve in. definitely, something will be source of our inspiration truly like you said about that video. That Craig Thornton’s quote has really got me thinking about myself in what I really want to do because passion only is not truly enough. But still, I will still take the leap of faith.
