Here I go again researching online and then run across another YouTube video that grabs my attention.
The video I watched was a five-part series that was interesting.
This guy had no shame and he just went out and did it.
So with that being said, let’s get into the Living Bobby Vlog and what video made me write this.
First I Want To Say
Shane Dawson was the first one that made me write about Vloggers because when he did a series about Jeffree Star, I couldn’t help but write about it, that is why I said, Jeffree made me write this.
It didn’t stop there because I was researching online and that is how I found the Bearded Picker.
He did a hustle that I thought was amazing and that is why the Bearded Man made me write this.
Now it’s Bobby’s turn. Why Bobby made me write this is because I found a few things about his 5 series interesting, so now, let’s get right into it.
What Was The Five Series About?
It was a diary series. Each series wasn’t long but entertaining and fun to watch.
Bobby did some interesting things to turn 1 dollar into over $1,000 in five days.
The First Video Is Called TURNING $1 into $1000 in NYC! (Day 1)
In the first series, he had just one dollar and he went to thrift stores to try and find items that he could flip using an app that shows how much Amazon would sell the items for.
To do that you would download an app like Amazon seller. That app allows you to scan items with bar codes that indicate what the retail value is on Amazon.
He found a VHS videotape that cost one dollar and he purchased it. When I saw him purchase the product, I noticed that he didn’t include the taxes.
Anyways, he listed the videotape on Amazon for $5.88. It didn’t sell on the first day so, he had to go to plan B.
In Craigslist, he found items that people were giving away for free. He found free items walking distance from where he was and started to sell them to people on the street.
I suggest you watch his hustle below because he also found other ways to make money.
TURNING $1 into $1000 in NYC! (Day 2)
In this series, he went to China Town. He decided to use some of his profits to sell Ice Cream Mochi.
The reason why he decided on Ice cream Mochi is that in other parts of NYC Ice Cream Mochi is popular and cost a lot more.
I never had the Ice Cream before, but now I’m curious and the next time I go to my local Asian market, I’m going to look for ice cream mochi and find out what the hype is all about, Lol.
He also found a focus group to make some extra cash.
Focus groups are a little bit different than completing surveys online from home. You actually have to go to a location and try a product or service and express your opinion about the product.
Sometimes you can get paid via prepaid card or cash Bobby got the cash.
Concerning things that I noticed was how his shirt changed. Also, focus groups don’t contact people right away, so I’m wondering if this was day two?
I still enjoy the video though and you can watch part two below.
TURNING $1 into $1000 in NYC! (Day #3)
In this series, he went shopping at Marshall’s for more expensive items to flip. He went to the clearance aisle and found shoes and toys to flip.
He also did a psychological study to earn more cash for the challenge.
You can check out the third-day challenge below.
TURNING $1 into $1000 in NYC! (Day #4)
This time Bobby got quite ambitious and decided to start a pop-up restaurant inside a bar. He had no idea how he was going to do this, Lol.
He had to get inventive to get it started.
I’m just going to recommend that you watch this video on how he was able to manage to make it happen.
TURNING $1 into $1000 in NYC! (THE FINALE)
At this point, he was on his final day and he only made a little more than half of that $1,000. Now he had to push through to make it happen.
He started early in the morning. He realized it is not easy to make cash fast.
I’m not giving away any more, I recommend you watch the finale and see what happened.
The Comments Wow!
After the series, I like to read comments from the viewers and a lot of people expressed why they thought what he did was fake.
I understand their concerns because of the reseller items he tried to sell online, he never really showed that he actually sold those items. Also, the shirt thing that I expressed above.
So we don’t know how long it took, he could have just edit the videos that way.
But I Want To Bring Up A Valid Point
The first video was titled “TURNING $1 into $1000 in NYC! (Day 1)”. Every time I research online and I see titles that express fast money, people watch it.
It seems that those titles are the ones that get the most views because hey, who doesn’t want to know what or how to make fast money.
For me, the titles are grabbing and for me, I want to know what they did, so I’m sure a lot of people may feel the same way.
The Debbie Downer part is that it takes a lot of work to get there.
I’m going to quote Bobby because I totally agree with him when he made this statement in his last video series of the five-day challenge.
“Success is not necessarily made through hard work, it’s made through smart hard work”
He actually did things he probably wouldn’t normally do.
Mainly the video showed that you have to put your ideas into action. You have to start somewhere to get the momentum going.
That is why Bobby Made me write this. There isn’t any miracle push-button way. The button you have to push is yourself by just doing it.
All In All
There are ways to get there. Hard work is part of the hustle and Bobby showed that in his series.
I don’t care how long it took him to make the money. If you watched the five-part series and what he did, it’s not easy.
People do want fast money but 99% of the time it is going to take time.
A lot of people do want to make money around their schedule. The amazing part is that the Internet can really be an avenue to take.
You can make money completely from home. I always say start with a website and branch out from there.
