My Survey Review: Did It Pass The Test

I’m pretty sure you are wondering about this test that I’m referring to.

I just wrote an article about online survey scams.

I even mentioned how some sites put a lot of preparation into what they are doing while other sites don’t.

When you see a site like My Survey Jobs, know that they did prep work.

Even though they did prep work, I have some details from the article I wrote that will help you determine nay or yeah.

With that being said, let us get into this My Survey review so you are able to determine if they passed the test.

My Take

When I first saw MSJ, I thought I already did a review about them, but it turns out it was another site that looks quite similar to a review I did a while back.

The important fact that we should cover is the list of ways to determine if a survey site is for you or not.

If you don’t know what to look for or are not sure what to make of MSJ (My Survey Jobs), I will let you know my findings and from there, you can do whatever you please.

I’ve Done My Share Of Surveys

I’ve participated in a number of surveys.

It got to the point for me that when I signed up for one survey, the same survey sites would appear in each survey site that I signed up for that was willing to pay me.

It can get to the point where you can’t even tell them apart anymore.

What I ended up doing was selecting a few survey sites that I find to be reputable and just stick with them.

I wanted to mention reputable sites because there are sites out there that I wouldn’t even bother signing up for.

You will know what I mean once we cover the list that I’m referring to so, let’s get to this list.

They Want Your Bank Account Number

My Survey Jobs Amount

When you read the image above, MSJ is free to join.

Yet, that is for a basic account.

Now, there is nothing wrong with having a basic account if you choose to do so.

But, the only way you are going to find out if there are other costs is by digging.

msj returns

If you take the time to read their terms, it says right there that there is a 60-day money-back guarantee.

MSJ doesn’t even let you know how much their service cost unless you feel comfortable signing up for their basic account.

What you should think about if you are deciding nay or yeah, (being that transparency is important when you sign up for services), is how come they can’t let you know that there is a fee involved before you give them any info about you?

If you have to dig that far before signing up for a service, then there is nothing wrong with doing more research first or to decide if you are going to move on.

There Should Be Discretion With Your Info

The only way you are going to find out the level of discretion is by reading their privacy policy page.

I get that there are survey sites that share your data with companies in order to find the correct survey for you to complete.

In order for these sites to share your data, you are going to have to complete your profile and that is how these sites find surveys for you to complete.

Sites that are legit want people who are able and willing to complete surveys.

This is how they get compensated by sending quality surveyors to market research companies.

mysurveyjobs third parties

I thought it was quite odd to find third party marketing partners in their terms.

When I read “coaching and consulting services” why do you need a coach or consulting to complete surveys?

From reviews I’ve done, when I learn about their coaching, you better believe coaching is at a costly debt.

Then MSJ pretty much says in their terms, oh, by the way, we are not responsible for their content or offer, but oh they are our third-party partners.

Go Figure!

Find Out How You Are Going To Get Compensated And What Is The Payout Threshold

mysurveyjobs how it works

It doesn’t hurt to find out what is the payout threshold and how are you going to get compensated.

There are some people who don’t want to use PayPal, some people don’t like gift cards and others who don’t want to get compensated by checks.

What is the use of signing up for something that doesn’t meet your own personal criteria?

That also applies to the payout threshold.

With MSJ, they don’t let you know what the payout threshold is and how you are going to get compensated.

If you can’t find that data out before you sign up, what could happen is that the payout threshold could end up being so high that you probably won’t ever get to cash out.

Surveys Do Not Pay A lot Of Money

Most surveys pay on average $0.50 to $1.00 to complete a survey.

$3 to $45 to complete a single survey is a wide range. They even go on to say in the image below that some surveys pay as much as $500.

I know for a fact if one survey paid me $500 to complete, I will be the first to let you know. As of today, it hasn’t happened.

I haven’t even completed a survey that paid me $45.

A survey site like Pinecone Research pays $3 to complete a single survey, but it is very difficult to get accepted, and not only that, you may receive a survey once a week to complete.

msj income claim

When you see a range of $3 to $45, know that it’s over-exaggerated.

You can get compensated for completing surveys, but it’s not going to be a full-time job.

When you see ranges that are very unrealistic the reason why they do that is to entice you to sign up.

It Doesn’t Hurt To Click Around

If you click around and everything seems great, you may want to see if you notice anything odd.

The odd info I found is when I decided to complete MSJ’s questionnaire.

The question started with how much money you’d like to make every month.

msj questionnaire

What I decided to do was not to click an option.

What I mean is, I didn’t select a preference for how much money I would like to make each month.

Instead, I clicked continue and it just went to the next question.

Each time I clicked continue without selecting a preference, it just went to the next question.

mysurveyjobs match

At the end of the questionnaire, the image above popped up.

I didn’t even select any preference but they matched me with 3,289 surveys.

For me, at this point, I would move on because it seems like there is no care.

Like I said earlier, reputable survey sites get compensated by matching surveyors with relevant surveys that you are able to complete and get compensated for.

If I didn’t answer or select any preferences, how was My Survey Jobs able to match me with so many surveys. ODD!

Privacy Policy And Terms

mysurveyjobs communication

Most sites that do great prep work you can find out a lot of info on their terms.

With the terms, they are pretty much going to tell you what they are going to do with your info.

If you don’t agree with their terms then it is best that you don’t join.

If you don’t want telephone calls, junk mail, know that a can of worms is going to stay in the can.

By you deciding to join a site like this, you give them the authorization to call and share your data, and now your back to these telephone calls that you may not want in the first place.

Listed As A Job

I didn’t see a listing for jobs, but they use the word job in their dot-com name.

By using the word job in their dot-com name, it kind of implies that you are going to get survey jobs.

Each Site Will Have Their Unique Qualities

Every site is going to have their unique qualities that you may find other red flags.

One of the qualities I noticed with MSJ was in its terms.

My Survey Jobs Testimonials

It said where it says testimonials, (their name, website, city, or country of residence may be displayed on our site. Also that third parties may contact you and they are not responsible).

msj no faces

On MSJ site they show images of people holding a check with their face shown.

If they are showing people who are displaying a check, how come their names are not displayed?

If people are going to go to the length of showing a check along with an image of themselves, why would they hide their names?

Like I stated before, you can get compensated for completing surveys and there are people who wouldn’t mind displaying their first name or at least a nickname.

Did They Pass The List Test?

For me, it’s a no.

Being that you are willing to complete surveys you shouldn’t have to pay any kind of membership fee to complete surveys.

Giving your credit card data to a site that isn’t really transparent and on top of that charge, a fee to complete surveys is kind of scamish.

The reason why I say that is because you don’t have to go into great depths to find good reputable survey sites.

They should give you all the info upfront. The coaching is kind of odd and for me, that indicates that they are going to try and sell you expensive services.

If you look at a site like Opinion Outpost. It has been in business since dial-up. If you don’t know what dial-up is, then you know it’s been a long time.

Opinion Outpost is free to join, their payout threshold is 100 points and that adds up to $10 when you are able to cash out.

For completing surveys at Opinion Outpost their terms are pretty good.

All In All

Even though you may find an opportunity that seems okay, it doesn’t hurt to research the site before you join.

By taking the time to do your research, it does help you decide for yourself what you would like to do next.

Legitimate survey sites are not going to ask you to pay anything.

All you have to do is sign up, complete your profile and from there they will email you surveys that you can complete.

You don’t have to worry about being charged a fee or being bombarded with coaching or other opportunities.
